I journal on a regular basis; here is something I wrote that resonated with me:

I am writing because I will not give up–even when I am down & out and feel like my life is not moving forward.

My time is coming.

God has a plan for me.

I may not be the smartest, the prettiest, or the richest (or maybe I am, who really knows), but I am special. I am beautifully made in God’s image.

There’s a bright future ahead of me.
